Chief Examiner Philip Aldred will present a workshop focussing on the LCM classical singing, music theatre and pop vocals syllabuses. Philip will be willing to answer questions on graded and diploma exams, and there will be performances to demonstrate aspects of the syllabuses.

From the Winter 2009 session, candidates will be required to provide photographic proof of identity when they arrive for their examination. Candidates who are unable to provide photo ID will be required to sign the attendant's timetable to confirm that they are the named candidate. (For candidates aged eight or below, a parent or other adult should sign on their behalf.) |

Theory exams - Summer closing date

On the 2009 theory entry forms the Summer closing date for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is listed as Thursday 21 May. This should be Tuesday 21 April, as for practical exams. Apologies for the error; the forms will be reprinted with the correct closing date. |

LCM Exams is again sponsoring the Voice National Performing Arts Competition, which moves to London in 2009. Heats for the competition will be held at LCM local exam centres in the UK and Republic of Ireland between Saturday 21 March and Saturday 25 April (closing date for application Sunday 1 February), and the final will be held at the Courtyard Theatre, Hoxton, London on Saturday 1 August. The application form is now available from the VoiceNPAC website.
